You’ve learned how Angela balances her blog life with her real life, now lets hear from Shannon of Upbeat Soles to see how she juggles it all.

I don’t think it’s a huge secret that blogging takes a ton of dedication. I have been juggling blogging plus working full time for almost two years now, and although sometimes I want to pull my hair out and may not have all the free time I used to have, I honestly wouldn’t shannon from upbeat soles, ambassador for the blogger collectivehave it any other way.

I work as a diagnostic medical sonographer– which can lead to long days, so I try to get as much as I can blog-wise done on Sundays. I take all of my outfit pictures on either Saturday or Sunday, organize the photos by the day they will post the following week, and put my top favorites in a separate folder. I have always been a procrastinator, so sometimes I put together my post after I get home from work the night before the post goes live. When I have time, I try to get ahead and schedule my posts a few days out. Blogging closer to the post date helps me to include little tidbits about what is happening in my life at the moment, which keeps my readers up to date with my life. I’m not the type of person who can sit in front of a computer for hours on end writing a ton of posts at once. I wish I was!

As for my personal life, weekends are mostly dedicated to disconnecting from the blog (except for some outfit shots on Sunday, of course). I try not to do anything blog-related on weekends– not even respond to emails– unless it is super urgent. I stopped posting on Fridays, and have instead used my Thursday nights to blast through emails, scan Pinterest, or tackle anything I have fallen behind on. If I don’t have anything to do for the blog, Thursday night becomes a time to relax– something much needed!

Being a full-time blogger plus working a full time job definitely isn’t easy. Sometimes I just have to remember to breathe and also block time to disconnect and relax. As much work as it is, blogging is a fun and rewarding ride– and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
