Shanna of Pop Fizz Pink
“When I first moved to New York I bought Vogue instead of dinner. I just
felt it fed me more.”
-Carrie Bradshaw, Sex & The City
Although I’ve always thought of myself as more of a Charlotte, Carrie and I have two critical similarities: our love for fashion and writing. The two meet here. In my closet you’ll find everything from Old Navy to Chanel. As Kate Spade once said, “She serves champagne with pizza and eats takeout on China.” I love my Converses as much as my Louboutins, and my yoga pants as much as a little black dress.
I’m a handbag-hoarding lipstick junkie who is a self-professed mix of Blair Waldorf, Scarlett O’Hara, and a beach bum.
I truly enjoy outfit planning, online shopping, and helping others find their personal style. I live my life by the iconic Lilly Pulitzer quote, “Life’s a party, dress like it.”
What is your favorite thing about blogging?
It’s so easy to lose your identity in your children when you’re a new momma, and for 14 months I teetered on that line. Without getting into the major details, my son and I had a rough go at first. Together we were a hot mess duo! Now he’s a happy, healthy toddler, and I have realized I need to do something for myself. I (re)started this blog in July 2015 as a creative outlet, a motivational tool to hold myself accountable, and something to do during nap time.
What do you find the most challenging about blogging/being a blogger?
Gaining a legitimate following when there are tons of amazingly talented, well-dressed, witty women out there. The struggle is real, y’all.
If you had to eat only one food for an entire year, what would it be?
Steak and a baked potato!
If you could have any super power, what would it be?
I would love to be able to read people’s minds.
Thanks so much to Shanna! Leave a little love over at Pop Fizz Pink!
